Tour de Pakistan Cycle Race next month


KARACHI: The 14th edition of Tour de Pakistan Cycling Championship will be pedal-off from the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah here from November 16. Gruelling 1655 kilometer 11 stage race will pass through some major cities of Sindh, Punjab and NWFP before culminating at Peshawar on November 28. Besides top peddlers from Pakistan, participants from India, Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka would be featuring in 13-day competition. 153-km Karachi to Hyderabad first stage will mark the opening of the race on November 16. The event is being staged under the directives and patronization President of Pakistan with support from Pakistan Sports Board.
