India put England in to bat in fifth ODI


CUTTACK: India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni elected to field after winning the toss against England in the fifth one-day international here on Wednesday.

India, who have already gained an unbeatable 4-0 lead in the seven-match series, made two changes from the side that won the last match by 19 runs on Sunday as they brought in all-rounder Irfan Pathan and batsman Rohit Sharma .

Gautam Gambhir and Munaf Patel were rested.

England replaced paceman James Anderson and opener Ian Bell with Steve Harmison and Alastair Cook.

England: Kevin Pietersen (capt), Alastair Cook, Ravi Bopara, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Owais Shah, Matt Prior, Steve Harmison, Stuart Broad, Graeme Swann, Samit Patel.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Virender Sehwag , Sachin Tendulkar , Rohit Sharma , Suresh Raina , Yuvraj Singh , Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh , Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan , Ishant Sharma.
