Pak needs not to extradite Mumbai culprits: Miliband

NEW DELHI: Foreign secretary David Miliband said Pakistan needs not to extradite Mumbai attack culprits to India as they have committed the breech of law in Pakistan and trial against them should be conducted in that country. In an Indian television talk show Miliband said it was clear the attacks originated from Pakistan and Islamabad had to crack down on the militants operating on its soil. When he was asked whether the accused of Mumbai attacks could not be handed over to India like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was transferred to America, Miliband said he could not go into the constitutional position of Pakistan but the government in Pakistan has shown determination to investigate into the matter. He said the government of Pakistan has made commitment with the world community to take effective steps and Islamabad had to crack down on the militants operating on its soil.
