England ODI series abandoned


CUTTACK: England announced to abandon the remaining two ODIs of the seven-match ODI series and decided to leave India. England have played five one-day internationals in the seven-match one-day series, and were due to fly out to Guwahati on Thursday to play the sixth ODI, and subsequently to New Delhi for the seventh ODI.However, we have learnt that the Indian selectors, who were due to meet today to pick the Indian team for the last two one-day internationals, will not meet, confirming that the one-day series has been abandoned.Further, sources also tell us that the players' kits have been packed and have been booked on flights to their respective hometowns.As of now, it is only the one-day series that has been abandoned. Further announcements are awaited as to the future of the two-Test series, due to begin on December 11.
